Setting up our relationship
initial meeting
Our initial meeting is free of charge (with the exception of the 1-hour consultation adaptation service). I want to get to know you and your project - your hopes, as well as the nitty-gritty particulars about needs and budget. I also want to discuss the scope of your project - what you’d like help with, and what you already have under control.

contract
Following our meeting, I’ll build a proposal for you, and send it to you for review. It will include the scope of your project, my fee breakdown, and the responsibilities of the owner and architect.

getting started
After we’ve all signed the contract, Hg80 will get started! I will need to meet with you again to measure your space and clearly establish your goals.
How I can help
Schematic design
You’ve heard of napkin-sketches? That’s Schematic Design. At this point, I will develop 2-3 design sketches. You can either pick the idea that you like best or use a combination of them to build the design that works for you. There should be a great dialogue between client and designer, so don’t be afraid to bring your ideas and inspiration photos.

design development
This stage is the fine-tuning of our schematic design decisions. It is full of a lot of little sketches and dialogue - this is the part where we go back and forth and tweak things as I nail down exactly how you need the space to function and how you want it to look. By the end, I will deliver a set of plans and elevations that meet all of your objectives (and hopefully, dreams!)

construction documents
These are the documents that can be used to apply for a permit. Includes all of the information that your contractor will need, like foundation details, ceiling plans, and cabinet layouts.
Should your project need drawings and calculations from an engineer, we can help you find one!
